The official statement read:

“We are heartbroken to hear this sad news about Grant. He was an important part of our Discovery family and a really wonderful man. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family”

Grant Imahara was an eminent personality in the world of Hollywood best known for his work in animations and animatronics.

We couldn’t confirm it from CNN yet, but SFGate has reported that Imahara died of a brain aneurysm. It’s a condition in which ballooning of cerebral blood vessels in the brain takes place resulting in hemorrhagic stroke.

His former “MythBusters” co-host Adam Savage took to twitter in mourning of his loss saying:

“I’m at a loss. No words. I’ve been part of two big families with Grant Imahara over the last 22 years. Grant was a truly brilliant engineer, artist and performer, but also just such a generous, easygoing, and gentle PERSON. Working with Grant was so much fun. I’ll miss my friend.”

Grant Imahara has been an inspiration to numerous engineers around the world. He was a good man, on and off the camera. May his soul rest in peace.
