Boy who saved sister from dog attack has face transformed

In a viral footage where a little brother heroically saved his younger sister from a dog attack has some news.

The huge scar that was left behind from the brave dog fight has shown a remarkable recovery. It was all possible because of a skilled team of doctors who voluntarily worked on the surgery for free.

Last summer, little Bridger Walker, six, was injured badly when he put himself between the dog and his sister leaving with serious facial scars.

To fix the bites on his face, the boy had to take 90 stitches and is being given high-tech laser treatments to make his scars invisible.

Distinguished dermatologists, Dr Dhaval Bhanusali and Dr Cory B. Maughan were moved after learning about his incredible story. Both the doctors decided to work on Bridger’s scars and it was all for free.

Their friend, Dr Sandra Lee, also known as Dr Pimple Popper, was also called for assistance to calm Bridger’s nerves.

“Every once in a while, we come across patients who do more for us than we can ever do for them,” said Dr Bhanusali to the Daily Mail

He added, “Bridger inspired me and, in a time, where so much negativity was surrounding the world, he provided hope and represented all that is good.”

“It is my greatest privilege to try and help, and while a few of us may get the credit, this story is more about the dermatology world coming together to help a little boy who is truly a hero.

We are fortunate to be in a place where we can help heal and I’m just thankful to be part of this wonderful dermatology community.”

Dr Lee, who has been helping in the treatment process said, “How could I say no? It’s so wonderful that both Dr Bhanusali and Dr Maughan are helping him improve his scars.

“Although I am not directly involved in his care if I can do anything to make Bridger more comfortable and remind him what a brave, kind, good young man he is, I’m there.”

“I am the lucky one – that Bridger knows my name and I have the opportunity to meet him. He is in great hands, and I look forward to following his progress.”

Robert, Bridger’s dad said to the American Academy of Dermatology Association that “After going above and beyond to provide support, encouragement, and expert care, Dr Bhanusali reinforced our appreciation for the life-changing care that dermatologists provide.”

“My family will always be grateful to him for finding an innovative treatment solution to help our son. Bridger won’t be constantly reminded of the attack when looking in the mirror and can return to his childhood, nearly unscarred.”
