Apple might be developing console to battle PS5 and Xbox X

Seems like Apple might be joining the next-generation fight against PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X. Rumours seem to have surfaced that Apple has been working on a console of its own.

According to recent rumours, Apple seems to be working on its very own ARM-based console. Someone on twitter by the name of Mauri QHD (@MauriQHD) has left a pretty mysterious tweet.

Apple is reportedly working on its own ARM-based chips to completely replace the Intel silicon found in its MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, and iMac. Now the thing with these ARM-based chips is that they’re not able to deliver the right amount of juice for dedicated gaming.

It seems that Apple could be working on new A-Series chips that may have a lot of CPU and GPU power. Using that, Mac could make a dedicated gaming machine in the future.

One thing’s for sure, Apple’s extremely efficient with the devices it releases on the market. It doesn’t hold back even a little bit in terms of budget when it comes to the hardware in its latest devices. If the console ever does surface, it definitely will be powerful, but how it would into the next-generation, is yet to be seen.
